Day 1

2. Identifying competencies
Thinking about the type of person who will be successful in the role and therefore the competencies required.
3. Compiling your interview
How to identify the questions to be included in your interview.
4. Positive and negative indicators
How to identify and assess the required indicators.
Day 2
5. Interview Design
review of day one and practical exercise.
6. Basic interview techniques
Understand how to set the scene for a successful interview
7. Interview procedures
How to take notes and listen for behavioural evidence with practical examples
8. Interview questioning
Role playing where trainees practice questioning techniques.
9. Marking and assessment
How to mark the responses against the required competencies and come to a decision
